About Us

Microsoft Innovation Centers (MICs) are state of art technology facilties for collaboration on innovative research, technology or software solutions, involving a combination of government, academic and industry participants.

The Microsoft Innovation Center Roma (MIC Roma) promotes the adoption of Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies through training, technology transfer and innovation projects.
MIC Roma started the activities in September 2009, as a part of Dipartimento di Informatica e Automazione (CS Dept.) of Roma Tre University, focusing on Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies.

MIC Roma was created within a framework agreement between Microsoft Italy and the italian Ministry for Public Administration and Innovation. Its activities are targeted to Public Administrations and to small/medium enterprises to foster innovation and adoption of cutting edge collaboration technologies. Being part of an accademic facility, MIC Roma aims at bringing research results and new ideas into the italian productive system. We do that by organizing events and training sessions in a dynamic academic environment, performing internal research, and following stages and student projects.
